Taj Mahal is the tomb of Mumtaz Mahal. It is believed that Taj Mahal name came from Mumtaz Mahal. The fifth Mughal emperor, Shah Jahan built it in 1631, in memory of her second wife Mumtaz Mahal. She died while her husband in Burhanpur in a campaign of crush a rebellion after giving birth of her 14th child. When Mumtaz lay dying she asked four promises from her husband. First- she asked to build the Taj Mahal, second- that he should marry again, third-that he should be kind to their children and fourth- she asked to visit the tomb on her death anniversary. According to the promises he built the Taj Mahal. The construction started in 1631 and it took 22 years. Twenty thousand workers worked hard to build it. The main architect was Istad Usa, who was an Iranian architect.
Taj Mahal is a wonder of the world of architecture. It is renowned to all for its architectural design. As a tomb, it is really great.

Taj Mahal is situated more than 900 ft. far from entrance opposite end of the garden. Towering is about 200 ft. high. The tomb stands on marble plinth. Taj Mahal became more attractive for the combination of Persian, Central Asian and Islamic architectural design. This palace stands on a square platform of 186 x 186 feet. The minarets are graceful and 162.5 feet high. A garden starts from the main gateway. These kind of attractive gardens were introduced to India by the first Mughal emperor Babur.
There is a mosque on the west side of Taj Mahal. There are 539 prayer carpets which are marked with black marble. The roof is supported with four octagonal towers and three elegant domes. Padma River

The padma is one of the major river of Bangladesh. Himalay is the origin of this river. It enters Bangladesh through Chapai Nawabganj. Relax at Palolem Beach, Goa – India

Palolem Beach is located two kilometers from Chaudi which is in the south Goan Taluka of Canacona, about one hour drive from Margao. Margao is the main city of Goa, India.

Bandarban & Shitadunko, Chittagong, Bangladesh

Bandarban: Bandarban is a place of hills, waterfalls, rivers, lakes and tribal culture. You can go Bandarban from Chittagong by road which will take about 4 hours to reach. Chimbuk hill is one of the most attractive part of Bandarban.

You have to reach there over jig jag hilly roads. It is the 3rd highest mountain of Bangladesh. It’s hight approximately 3000 ft. You will find Jeep in Rangamati for going to Chimbuk. Normal Cars can’t go through the hilly roads. There is a beautiful & nicely decorated house at the top of Chimbuk hill for takeing rest. You will find cloud touching your body. By taking permission from Roads and Highway Department you can spent the night in the rest house.

There is a waterfall known as Shailapropat in Bandarban which is very famous for it’s beauty. The waterfall is surrounded by many hills and forests, that makes it more and more beautiful.

Another visiting place of Bandarban is Meghla. It’s a lake. You will find wild animals here. A hanging bridge over the Meghla lake increased it’s beauty.

Paharpur Bihar – Back to Past

The village of Paharpur is situated about 10 km south west corner from Joypurhat in the district of Naogan. A destruction of old Buddhist Temple is placed at Paharpur. This Temple is called the Sampur Bihar. In the eight century, Dharmapal, the father of Debpal built this temple. The internal space of this temple is 920 square feet (920 x 4) and is well protected with four walls. There are 177 class rooms around the old walls. Once it is supposed to be a Buddhist University. The height of this temple is about 72 feet from plain land. There are four (Puea Mandap) worship place around the second step of the temple. In the east of the temple, there is a museum and a rest house of the Archeology department. After digging from 1923 to 1934, many statues of God Goddesses are discovered of different ages. The village of Malancha is close to Paharpur village. There is a monument of Sattapir (True Religious Man). The space of this monument is about 980 feet. There are 132 meditational seats and a pile of soil. According the Hinduism, this place (seat) belongs to Satta Narayan and the Muslims believe that it is called the Dargah (Holy Place) at satta pir. Many people offer shirni (Tobarak of Food) for their religious agreement. Paharpur is the adobe of Raja (king) Moydanab. The king had two sons and a daughter. The name of his daughter was Sandhaboti. The history of Sondhaboti is given below –

There was a small river named ‘Annar’ beside the king’s palace. Once Sandhaboti taking her mother’s permission went to river to bath with her companions. After finishing bath, she saw a beautiful flower coming towards her by the wave of the river. Sandhaboti was addicted to the flower and took smell by catching it. After some days, Sandhaboti understood that she is pregnant. Finding no other alternatives, one day she told her mother ins and outs of the incident. Helplessly, her mother(Queen) became bound to inform the king about the incident. The king became very angry with the information and sent his daughter to the forest to check the scandal. By the course of time, a child took birth.

Another visiting place of Bandarban is Meghla. It’s a lake. You will find wild animals here. A hanging bridge over the Meghla lake increased it’s beauty.

A day at Borra Guhalu and Araku Valley

Borra Guhalu and Araku Valley are about 90 km north west from Visakhapatnam, India. Its one of the most scenic beauty of India. These two tourist spots are known much for therir flora and fauna.
Barra Guhalu are the caves of karstic limestone in the hills of Araku Valley. Its average elevation is about 900m. This cave is about 150 million years old. It is 100m wide and 75m in height.
Inside the cave you will find a statue of Lord Shiva. This is one of the attraction inside the cave. The caves are open from 10 a.m. to 5.30 p.m for visitors. You can enjoy photography there.

Rupban Mura

Locally it is known as Rupban Mura. After excavation an abbey and an octagonal votive stupa discovered. Many antiquities are found there. Among them four coins of debased Meta, three silver coins, one bulky sand Buddha image and a Gupta imitation gold coin are remarkable. These are the symbol of 8th A.D.

Salban Vihar

Preciously it was known as Salban Rajar Bari ( Salban Prince Palace). After excavation the ground a Buddhist an abbey measuring 550``x550`` was exposed. It has 114 cells.
The monastery was built by Sri Bhava Deva who was the 4th ruler of the early. Deva ruled during 8th century A.D. He was known to everyone as Bhava Deva Maha Vihir. The antiquities recovered safely and sent to Mainamati Museum for displaying.
