The padma is one of the major river of Bangladesh. Himalay is the origin of this river. It enters Bangladesh through Chapai Nawabganj. It connected with Jamuna river near Aricha and finally join with Meghna near Chadpur and flows towords Bay of Bengal. Rajshahi city situated near Padma. Its maximum depth is 1,571 (479m) feet. Its average depth is 968 feet (295m).
