Lalbagh fort was built in 1678 A.D. It was built by Price Mohammad Azam. He was the son of Mughal emperor Aurangazeb. The fort is the symbol of bloody battle of 1st war of independence in 1857. There are other monuments in Lalbagh. They are tomb of Pari Bibi (Fairy Lady), Lalbagh Mosque, Audience Hall and Hammam of Nawab Shaista Khan.
