Mohasthangarh is situated on the western bank of Karotoa river. It is 18 km. north from Bogra town. It is one of the oldest city of Bangladesh. Many isolated mounds such as. Govinda Bhita, Khodai Pathar Mound, Parsuramer Bedi, Mankalir Kunda, Jiyat Kunda etc covered the city by side. This old city is a great sanctity for Hindus. Hindus devotees join the bathing ceremony every year on the bank of Karotoa river.
